Temporary Residence

Work Permits

If you are a foreign national interested in working in Canada, we can help you understand the requirements and assist you in the application process. Every year, the Canadian government issues hundreds of thousands work permits to temporary foreign workers. Generally, there are two types of work permits – open and closed.  An open work permit allows you to work for any employer, in any province in Canada and does not restrict you to a particular position. On the other hand, a closed-work permit only allows you to work for the Canadian employer listed on your work permit at the specified job site. If you decide to change your employer, you must apply to change your work permit or apply for a new work permit with the new employer. If you would like to apply for an open work permit or a closed work permit but are unsure what documents to include with your application or how to get started, let us help you.

In addition, if you sponsor your spouse through the in-Canada spousal sponsorship program, you may apply for an open work permit.

Study Permits

If you are interested in studying in Canada, we can help you understand the requirements and assist you in the application process. Every year, the Canadian government issues hundreds of thousands of study permits to international students (for example, 317,328 were issued in 2017). Canadians place great importance on learning and have developed an excellent education system with high standards. International students enrich Canadian classrooms and play a vital role in Canada’s future economy and work force. We can help you apply to study in Canada, extend your study permit and get information about working while you study or after you graduate. We can also help your spouse get a work permit while you study in Canada.

Visitor Visas

Canada welcomes millions of visitors each year. Except for Canadian citizens and permanent residents, and citizens of the United States, all other individuals require permission to enter Canada as a visitor. Visitors’ travel to Canada is facilitated through the issuance of temporary resident visas (TRVs) and electronic travel authorizations (eTAs). For example, in 2017, a total of 1,438,633 TRVs and 3,932,529 eTAs were approved for visitors. We can help you understand the requirements in your circumstances and assist you in the application process.

If you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident interested in inviting your family or friends to visit you in Canada, we can help you prepare the letter of invitation to be submitted with the visitor visa application.
